Preparing for Mists

Mists is almost here! In less than 36 hours, we will be exploring a new continent and fighting new bad guys. I’ve been quietly preparing for the new expansion, getting alts ready, selling last minute things on the AH, and preparing my professions. I’ve even been cleaning off my desk in preparation for our new chapter!

I admit it. I’m not going to be staying up until midnight (I live in CA) for the launch event. I have a MAJOR History exam on Tuesday and I can’t really afford to be half awake. Most people would say Bachelor’s Degree > WoW and I tend to agree. I’ll be able to play after I get home from school and thus my “staycation” from work will begin. I’ve taken 1 week off to level which I feel is more than enough for the pace I’m setting for myself.

Definitely one of my necessities while I sit at the computer for longer periods of time. My munchy of choice? Low-Fat Wheat Thins. I can literally eat them forever. My other favorite muchies are usually a type of dry cereal, either Captain Crunch or Apple Jacks.

Water is my number one choice. If I’m looking for something sweeter, I prefer Clear American sparkling water or Crystal Light lemonade. Clear American can only be found at Wal-Mart.

Music is really important to me for leveling. It really can set the “pace” for your leveling adventure. For me, my music tastes can range from soft rock-pop-country depending on the artist. It’s good to make a nice playlist (I use iTunes) to get you in a good rhythm.

My possible playlist:

1- Into the Ocean by Blue October
2- Lost Highway by Bon Jovi
3- The Sign by Ace of Base
4- Pontoon by Little Big Town
5- Set Fire to the Rain by Adele
6- Tears Dry On Their Own by Amy Winehouse
7- Juicy by Better Than Ezra
8- Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen
9- All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood
10- I Touch Myself by The Divinyls
11- You Belong With Me- Taylor Swift
12- T**ts On the Radio by Scissor Sisters
13- Try by P!nk
14- Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone
15- Firework by Katy Perry

Yes, Call Me Maybe is in there, as shameful as it might seem. Fact is the song is catchy and has a good beat. The fastest songs I have listed are “Firework” by Katy Perry and “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift. Definitely some feel good songs that put me in a great mood.

My slowest song on the list is “Pontoon” by Little Big Town. You may have heard me raving about it on Twitter. Yes it’s pretty slow, but it’s so amazing especially if you can appreciate really old school country. Here’s the video below:

I think with all this I’ll be ready for the expansion on Tuesday.
